Oh, my Irish Setter is exactly the same! The moment I reach for the leash, he starts jumping around like he just won the lottery. It's hilarious, but also a bit exhausting. They are such enthusiastic walkers, and I love that about them. I read somewhere that Irish Setters were originally bred for hunting, which explains their high energy levels. They just seem to thrive on adventure and being outdoors. I sometimes wish he had a bit more chill, but I can't help but laugh at his excitement every single time we go out!

I recommend Irish Setters for sure! They are so friendly and have a great temperament. However, they do have high energy and require regular exercise, so a backyard or daily walks are essential. Plus, their gorgeous coats need regular grooming to keep them looking sharp.
