If I had to choose again, I would still pick an Airedale Terrier. They are often referred to as the 'king of terriers' for good reason. Their intelligence is remarkable, making training enjoyable, although they do have a streak of stubbornness. One thing I would tell new owners is to engage them with plenty of activities. They love to be involved in family life, whether it's playing fetch or going for long walks. They are incredibly affectionate and truly become a part of the family.

Same here. Scout will watch me hide treats and pretend he is not paying attention. Then he cleans house in under a minute. I switched to puzzle toys and short training games so he burns brain energy on purpose. Airedales need a job or they invent one. Usually involving something you did not want touched. Hide and seek in the yard works great too.
