I completely agree with that. My Aidi, Max, was really shy at first. When I focused on building his confidence instead of strict discipline, he opened up so much. We had some rough patches, but allowing him to feel secure made training easier and more fun for both of us. They are such intelligent dogs, so once they gain confidence, they can really shine.

My Aidi gets pretty excited when guests come over. At first, he might bark a little, just to announce their arrival, but then he’s all in for the attention. He loves meeting new people and getting petted. If guests sit down, he’ll often jump right in their laps, which can surprise them!

He loves meeting other dogs. He’s friendly and always seems to make new friends at the park, which is a joy to see. I think it’s important for Aidis to socialize early on, as they can be a bit reserved at first. Regular playdates can really help boost their confidence around other pooches.
