Q&A
answer · Black And Tan Coonhound
Treeing Walker Coonhounds can be great dogs if you have the time and energy for them. They are known for their friendly nature, but they can be vocal at times. I’ve found that they are very affectionate with my family, which is a plus.

Yes! Every time we go out, my Treeing Tennessee Brindle is on a mission. He sniffs everything and gets so involved in the scents around him. It's fascinating to watch him take his time, but it can definitely slow down our walks.

Same energy here. I stopped expecting dignity. It makes life funnier. If you find a fix, tell me. Until then I am just documenting the comedy. Still figuring it out like everyone else, Charlotte.

The favorite activity for my Mountain Cur is definitely running around at the dog park. He loves interacting with other dogs and showing off his agility. It's amazing how quickly he can dart around, and he enjoys playing tug-of-war too.

Yes, I would absolutely choose an American Leopard Hound again. They are so energetic and love to be active, which makes them great companions for outdoor adventures. I've found that they have a unique ability to adapt to different environments. Plus, their distinct spotted coat is just stunning. They do require consistent training, but their intelligence makes it easier. Overall, they bring so much joy and excitement to my life.

Three throws is a warm up. Morning run plus afternoon training or we pay for it at night. A job helps. Even silly stuff like carrying a bag on walks or learning a new cue mid-hike.
