I would choose an Alaskan Malamute again in a heartbeat. They are beautiful dogs with incredible strength and a gentle spirit. Training them can be a bit of a task since they are quite stubborn, but once you earn their respect, they are incredibly loyal. I love how they have a strong pack mentality, so they're great with family members. The shedding, though, is intense, and you’ll need to be ready for regular grooming sessions.

The biggest challenge has been managing his shedding. Malamutes lose a lot of fur, especially during seasonal changes. It's a balancing act of grooming and vacuuming!
