I would highly recommend a Dogue de Bordeaux. They are known for their impressive strength and protective nature, making them great family pets. At the same time, they can be quite gentle and affectionate. I love how they are always ready to cuddle and can be big softies. Just be aware that they do require regular exercise to keep them healthy and happy, and a bit of training goes a long way.

I have to say, my Dogue de Bordeaux has no clue about his size. He acts like a tiny puppy, curling up next to me on the couch and demanding belly rubs. It's such a funny sight to see this massive dog trying to squeeze into my lap. I sometimes wonder if they think their weight disappears when they’re being affectionate. I wouldn’t trade his cuddles for anything, even if it requires some readjustments!

My Dogue de Bordeaux has this hilarious habit of stealing my socks. He doesn't chew them or play with them; he just collects them in his bed. I guess he thinks he’s creating his own little treasure trove. It's hard to stay mad when he looks so proud of his sock stash.
