I generally don’t trust my Mountain Cur off-leash in open areas. They have a strong hunting instinct, and I’ve seen them get distracted easily. I've found safe, enclosed spaces to let them run free, but outside of that, they're best on a leash. Consistent training has helped, but I’m always cautious.
