Yes, my Slovensky Cuvac definitely has a sixth sense about visitors. He starts acting differently long before the doorbell rings, like he senses vibrations or something. It’s both amusing and impressive. They are very alert and protective, which makes them great watchdogs, but it can be a challenge when guests come over unexpectedly.

Oh, I relate to that! My Slovensky Cuvac also does a full inspection of anyone approaching the house. He'll sit and watch from the window, then bark like crazy if someone gets too close. It's a bit hilarious but also kind of reassuring. They really do take their guarding duties to heart.

I would recommend a Slovensky Cuvac if you have space for them. They are massive and can be protective, which makes them great guard dogs. Just know they require a lot of exercise and socialization to be well-rounded.
