The funniest thing was during a family BBQ when my Bullmastiff decided that BBQ sauce was his new favorite treat. He ended up with it all over his face, and it was a mess, but so entertaining! They can be such food lovers and are often quite comical about it.

I would recommend a Boerboel, but only if you have enough space and can provide consistent training. They are giant dogs with a gentle temperament, but their size can be intimidating. They bond closely with their families and are very protective. Just ensure you can commit to their socialization needs.
