Is it just mine, or does your Mastiff always keep an eye on the whole family?

Without a doubt, I would recommend a Spanish Mastiff. They’re incredible companions, but be prepared for a lot of fur and drool! My Mastiff has such a sweet personality and loves being around people. They do need early socialization to ensure they’re friendly with strangers, as their protective instincts can kick in. They also have a unique habit of 'talking' to express themselves, which always makes me smile!

My Spanish Mastiff is the same way! He can look fierce, but once you give him some ear scratches, he becomes a total mush. It's hilarious how quickly he flips from guard dog mode to cuddle monster. I've noticed that they actually enjoy being around people more than you might think. Their gentle nature really shines through once they feel comfortable.

In my experience, Spanish Mastiffs really enjoy being indoors, especially during the colder months. They’re such gentle giants and thrive on companionship. My Mastiff has his spot on the couch where he likes to be part of family activities, and I think that makes him happier. Although he enjoys lounging outside on warm days, he always comes back inside at night.
