Q&A
answer · Pomeranian
One of the funniest moments I’ve had with my Pomeranian was when he decided to bark at his own reflection in the mirror. He lunged forward, barking furiously, thinking he was defending his territory against another dog. It was hilarious to see him get all worked up over a reflection! Pomeranians have such big personalities for their size. They often surprise you with what they choose to react to, and their antics never fail to bring a smile.

Yes, my Keeshond barks at anyone who walks by. It's like they feel it's their duty to announce visitors, even if they're just passing. They can be quite vocal about it, but they're also super friendly once they get to know people.
answer · Pomeranian
Yes, they are very people-oriented.
question · Pomeranian
Would you recommend a German Spitz?
answer · Pomeranian
My Keeshond once tried to play fetch with himself. He dropped the ball and then ran after it, only to turn around mid-chase and just bark at it. It was like he forgot it was his own ball! Keeshonds can be really dramatic, and this was just classic behavior for him.

I can’t recommend them enough! My Pomeranian is such a little character. They can be quite vocal, but with the right training, it’s manageable. They also love to snuggle and are perfect for apartment living. Just be ready for their mischievous side; they tend to steal food left out.
answer · Pomeranian
They are generally friendly but can be a bit sassy at times.

One of the funniest games we play is called 'treat toss.' I toss a treat, and he leaps in the air, trying to catch it mid-flight. It’s hilarious to see him jump so high, and it really shows off the playful side of the German Spitz. They are such enthusiastic jumpers! He always ends up looking like a little ball of fluff in motion.

One of the sweetest things my Keeshond does is snuggle up next to me when I'm working. He has a way of plopping down right by my feet, looking up with those big, expressive eyes. Sometimes, he even rests his head on my lap as if to say I’m here for you. It’s comforting, especially on long workdays. Plus, he has a knack for sensing when I’m feeling down and seems to intuitively know when I need a little extra love.
question · Pomeranian
Would you recommend a Keeshond?
answer · Pomeranian
Yes, I agree! A little each day is much better.
