I don’t fully trust my Schnauzer off-leash yet. They can get distracted easily, especially by other dogs.

Yes, a Standard Schnauzer is a great companion! They are very loyal and protective of their families. I've noticed they have a silly side too; mine loves to play fetch and will sometimes try to 'hide' the ball in the most obvious places. Their coat requires regular grooming, but it's worth it for such a lovable breed. Overall, they are a wonderful mix of intelligence and playfulness.
