The biggest challenge I've encountered with my Alaskan Klee Kai is their stubbornness. They are independent thinkers, which makes training a bit tricky at times. They also need a lot of mental stimulation to keep them from getting bored.

Klee Kais have a unique character; they can be both affectionate and very independent. They require a firm yet loving hand. I’ve had my share of surprises with my Klee Kai, especially her ability to outsmart me during training sessions.

My Klee Kai does a funny spin for treats! Everyone gets a kick out of it when she spins around and then hops back to me. They have such a playful side that just makes you smile.

My Malamute once dug a massive hole in the backyard just to bury his favorite toy, but then forgot where he put it. He spent an hour digging through the dirt to find it again, only to act totally surprised when he did!

Trusting my Klee Kai off-leash is tricky. They’re smart and can learn commands quickly, but their independent nature means they can easily get distracted. I've worked on recall training, which helps. In open spaces, I still prefer a long leash, just in case.

My Malamute is also unimpressed by fancy gadgets. He would rather dig up the yard than sit on a cooling mat. It’s like, no matter what I try, he’s always more interested in his own little adventures. Maybe they have a unique perspective on fun!
