Absolutely, my Kai Ken is always alert during our hikes. He seems to sense things before I do, like when he catches a whiff of animals nearby. It's almost like he has a sixth sense! Plus, they are known to be very loyal and protective, so I think his instincts kick in. I love watching him explore, it's like he’s on a little adventure every time we’re outside.

It can depend on the individual dog, but my Kai Ken is usually cautious with newcomers. Once they have a chance to sniff and get comfortable, he becomes super affectionate. It's important to give them their space to feel secure.

Yes, I really like my Kai Ken. They have a great personality and are very attached to their families. Just be aware that they need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. They can be stubborn, but with consistency, they do well.
