Would you recommend a Treeing Walker?
answer · Black And Tan Coonhound
Same energy here. I stopped expecting dignity. It makes life funnier.

Definitely! They love using their noses, and it’s a fun way to bond with them.

Would you recommend a Bluetick Coonhound?
answer · Black And Tan Coonhound
I've found they do really well with kids, especially if they are raised with them. My Leopard Hound is very patient and plays nicely, which makes family time fun.
answer · Black And Tan Coonhound
Absolutely! My Treeing Walker Coonhound has a nose for adventure and always finds intriguing scents. I think it’s just their natural instinct to explore and follow trails. It's what makes walks so much fun!

Fetch is great too! They love to run.

I would recommend a Mountain Cur for sure. They're very loyal and have a lot of energy, so you need to be prepared for that. I've noticed they're great with kids and really enjoy being part of the family. Their natural hunting instincts can come in handy, too, especially if you have a yard. Just make sure to give them plenty of exercise, or they can get a bit mischievous.

Would you choose an American Leopard Hound again?
answer · Black And Tan Coonhound
Never runs out. Ever. Flirt pole in the yard helps burn the edge off before we come inside. Without both physical and mental outlets, you get zoomies at the worst possible time. Usually 9pm. Still figuring it out like everyone else, Jose.
