Q&A
question · Stabijhoun
My trainer suggested rotating toys every few days instead of leaving them all out. Did it work for you?

That's so relatable! My Stabyhoun is a bundle of energy and can sense when it's playtime. Just like yours, he runs to the door with a ball in his mouth, ready to go. These dogs are known for their enthusiasm and love for activities. I find it hilarious how he can be so focused on a single toy that he forgets everything else. I've actually set up a few games in the backyard to keep him entertained and burn off some of that energy. If you need ideas, check out https://akc.org for some fun activities you can do together.

I’m a bit cautious with my Stabyhoun off-leash. She has great recall but can get distracted by other animals. Stabyhouns are known for their hunting instincts, so if she sees a squirrel, her focus is gone. It's best to practice in a secure area first. When she’s focused, she’s a joy to have off-leash, but it’s a work in progress!

Would you recommend a Stabyhoun?

Absolutely, my Stabyhoun is happiest when the whole family is around. They really thrive on that connection and love.
