One of his absolute favorite activities is swimming. He’ll dive right into any body of water, and it’s so hard to get him out! Field Spaniels are bred as hunting dogs, so they have that natural instinct to retrieve and love being in the water. I always make sure to take him to the lake during warm days because he just lights up!

The funniest thing my Field Spaniel has ever done? Definitely the time he jumped into a lake, thinking he could catch a duck. Instead, he just ended up paddling around, confused and soaked. He looked so funny trying to figure out how to get back to shore without leaving the water. I still laugh about it every time I think of it, he’s such a goof!

I know exactly what you mean! My Field Spaniel was supposed to be on a nice stroll, but then spotted a bird and suddenly wanted to chase it. I ended up having to follow them through some bushes to get them back! Field Spaniels have such a strong hunting instinct, it’s like they can’t help themselves.
