Q&A
answer · Schillerstovare
I would say yes to Schillerstövare! They are energetic and make great companions for active families.

One time, my Schillerstövare, Max, chased a squirrel right into a fence. He got stuck, but instead of panicking, he just looked back at me as if to say, 'Help!' It was hilarious to see his confused face.
answer · Schillerstovare
Absolutely! My Schillerstövare is a scent hound through and through. I planned a peaceful stroll last week, only to have him bolt after a deer scent. It's amazing how quickly they can become hyper-focused on something interesting. The energy they have is incredible, and while it can be challenging, it also keeps things exciting. I’ve learned to find spots where he can sniff around safely, so he has some freedom while I still get to enjoy the walk.

Same here! My Schillerstövare completely tunes me out when he’s tracking. He’s so fixated on the scent that I sometimes have to call him multiple times. It's fascinating, though, how they can follow a trail for ages. These dogs have an amazing sense of smell, which makes them incredible trackers.
