Q&A
answer · Chesapeake Bay Retriever
Yes, I would definitely recommend a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. They are loyal and love to be active. They do require a lot of exercise and mental stimulation, which makes them great companions for outdoor enthusiasts. Their water-loving nature is a big plus if you enjoy swimming or boating.
answer · Chesapeake Bay Retriever
Absolutely! My Chesapeake once dug through a snowdrift just to get to a ball he buried. It was a total surprise to see how committed he was. They really have a strong drive to retrieve, and it shows when they're focused on their task. I think it's part of their nature as hunting dogs.

Same energy here.
answer · Chesapeake Bay Retriever
My Chessie once stole my sandwich right off the table while I wasn't looking! The look on her face was priceless; she knew she'd been caught. It's these little moments that make having a Chessie so enjoyable.
question · Chesapeake Bay Retriever
We walked past a lake today... my Chessie looked at me like, "Well... are we swimming or what?" 😂 Does anyone else's dog think every body of water belongs to them?
