Q&A
answer · Sussex Spaniel
I have a great Sussex story! One day, my Spaniel jumped into the kiddie pool we had set up for summer and decided it was his personal splash zone. He was running around, soaking everything, and was so proud of himself. He has a quirky love for water, which is unusual for dogs in his breed.
answer · Sussex Spaniel
I highly recommend a Sussex Spaniel. They have such a pleasant temperament and are great with kids. However, they do need regular grooming due to their long, wavy coats. They can be a bit stubborn at times, but their playful nature and loving disposition make up for it. Just be prepared for some funny antics as they can be quite quirky!

My Sussex Spaniel is a little hoarder! He picks up his blanket or a toy and struts around the house with it. They have this cute habit of carrying things, and it’s like they want to share their treasures with us. It’s a delightful quirk of the breed that makes them even more lovable.
answer · Sussex Spaniel
I definitely let my Sussex Spaniel on the couch. They love to snuggle, and I enjoy having them there. Just be prepared for some drool and a lot of cuddles!
question · Sussex Spaniel
I bought the squeakiest toy in the store... my Sussex Spaniel still chose an old stick from the backyard 😂 Anyone else?
answer · Sussex Spaniel
Absolutely, I think daily brushing is ideal. Sussex Spaniels have beautiful, thick coats that can easily tangle. I’ve found that small daily sessions remove dirt and loose hair without the stress of a big grooming session. It also helps me check for any skin issues or irritations. It’s become part of our routine, almost like bonding time for both of us!
