Q&A

One time, my Hairless Terrier tried to catch his own tail and ended up tumbling over. It was too cute!

My American Hairless Terrier absolutely loves wearing sweaters! She gets so excited when I pull out her wardrobe. I think the extra warmth is comforting for her since she doesn't have fur. I've even found some adorable designs that fit her personality. It’s also nice to see her standing out at the park.

In my experience, they have a curious nature when meeting strangers. My pup usually barks a bit at first, just to let me know someone is there, but he quickly settles down and gets friendly. They really thrive on attention and can be quite playful once they feel comfortable. Just remember, consistent socialization is key to helping them feel more at ease, especially in different environments.

Would you choose an American Hairless Terrier again?

Little and often works better than one marathon session. Stickers and burrs are the real enemy. I plan routes around them now. I keep a small kit by the door: pin brush, comb, treats. Five minutes before we go out beats an hour fixing mats later. Still figuring it out like everyone else, Olivia.
