Q&A
answer · Bullmastiff
Watching him play with bubbles is hilarious.
answer · Bullmastiff
My Boerboel takes a moment to assess new visitors. After a bit of curious barking, he tends to relax and sit beside them, making sure they feel welcomed. It’s funny to watch because he can be this intimidating-looking dog but is actually a gentle giant. They do have a protective nature, but their loving side shines when they get to know someone.
answer · Bullmastiff
I'd recommend a Bullmastiff if you have space for them. They are loving and make great companions, especially with kids. Just keep in mind their size can be intimidating, but they are sweethearts at heart.

100 pound lap dog energy. If I sit on the floor I am instantly furniture. No personal space.
answer · Bullmastiff
One misconception is that Boerboels are too big to be good family pets. In reality, they are incredibly loyal and protective, making them great companions for children. They can be calm and patient, but they also need proper training and socialization.

100 pound lap dog energy. Guests expect tough, get cuddles in five minutes. Happens constantly. Pro tip: sit against a wall when they lean. Your back will thank you. Still figuring it out like everyone else, Olivia.
