They can also be prone to back issues, so be mindful of their health.

My Dachshund, Benny, takes sleeping under the blankets to a whole new level. He'll burrow into the blankets like it's his personal cave and will wiggle around until he finds the perfect spot. It's almost like he thinks he's hiding from a giant! It's adorable, but I have to make sure I don't roll over on him at night. I've heard that Dachshunds like being snug because they were originally bred to go after badgers, so they naturally seek out tight spaces.
