The funniest thing my Boerboel has ever done was when he chased his tail until he literally fell over! It was a hot day, and he must have gotten dizzy because he just lay there afterward, looking around like he was embarrassed. They can be so goofy with their big bodies and short attention spans. It’s a reminder to always have a camera ready.

Many assume Boerboels are aggressive, but they really thrive on love and companionship. They can be wary of strangers, which is a part of their protective nature, but with proper socialization, they are friendly and loyal. I’ve seen my Boerboel bond with kids and play gently, which surprises a lot of newcomers.
