One of my Australian Shepherd's favorite things is going on hikes with me. He absolutely loves being outdoors, and his herding instinct comes out when he sees other dogs, making him naturally curious about everything around him. On the trails, he often runs ahead and checks in with me, making sure I'm keeping up. It's a great bonding experience. I also take him to the local dog park where he meets other dogs and plays fetch. His energy is infectious, and it’s a joy to watch him run and explore.

My Aussie is amazing with children. She has a playful spirit and knows when to tone it down, making her the perfect playmate. She's very patient and affectionate, which is great for kids.

Blaze learned which jacket pocket has treats. Now he frisks me when I get home. I started using snuffle mats and short obedience reps so he has an outlet. Aussies need brain work, not just physical exercise. Hide and seek in the house is a cheap win. Absolute menace, love him.

Mine learns faster than I expect. Puzzle toys and scent games drain energy way faster than repeating fetch forever. If I skip brain games, my dog invents jobs.
