Shih Tzus are wonderful companions, and I fully recommend them. They’re friendly, affectionate, and make great lap dogs. One interesting fact is that they don’t shed much, which is great for people with allergies. They do need regular grooming, though, to keep their coats looking good and to avoid matting.

Totally! Mine does the exact same thing. It's almost like they enjoy the drama of it all. After all that effort, he rolls around on the carpet like he’s celebrating a victory! I’ve learned to just accept it as part of having a Shih Tzu.
