Q&A
answer · Norwegian Lundehund
One of the most unusual habits my Lundehund has is how he interacts with water. He doesn’t just jump in, he’ll carefully dip one paw in first, then the other, almost like he’s testing the temperature. He’s also got this habit of rolling in the grass after getting wet, which leaves him looking quite silly. Lundehunds are known for having a strong affinity for the outdoors, so his love for playing in water is no surprise. It's all fun and games until he shakes off and splashes me, though!

Yes! Their flexibility is astonishing.
answer · Norwegian Lundehund
I would definitely recommend a Norwegian Lundehund if you're ready for a unique challenge. They're not your typical dog; they have six toes on each foot, which helps them climb rocky cliffs. This breed is incredibly agile and needs plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. They can be quite stubborn, so early training is key. I've found them to be affectionate and loyal, but they also have a strong independent streak. Just be prepared for a dog that thinks for itself!

Yes, my vet advised the same. Low-impact activities are best for their joints.

Fetch is definitely a favorite for my Lundehund too. She has this quirky habit of trying to climb the trees to get the balls I throw. It's hilarious to watch her, especially since those unique double-jointed toes allow her to climb better than I expected. Sometimes, we mix it up with a bit of agility in the backyard, which she finds thrilling.

I love showing off my Lundehund's flexibility too. People always gasp when they see how they can bend their legs!

My Lundehund is a master at finding weird spots to fit in. Sometimes it feels like he’s part cat with how flexible he is!
