Q&A
question · Pug
My vet keeps reminding me to watch my Pug's weight. Any tips that actually work?
question · Pug
Do your Pugs sleep under the blankets too?
answer · Pug
I keep my Pug cool by making sure she stays hydrated and providing plenty of shade. I also use a cooling mat for her to lie on during hot days. Being a brachycephalic breed, they can struggle in the heat, so I’m always cautious.
question · Pug
Would you recommend a Pug to first-time dog owners?
answer · Pug
My Pug has this hilarious habit of turning in circles before he lays down. It’s like he’s making sure the bed is just right! He also loves to snort and snuggle into blankets, which makes him even cuter. It's a constant source of amusement.

What's one thing that surprised you about the breed?
question · Pug
Would you get another Pug?
answer · Pug
Oh my gosh, yes! My Pug acts like he hasn’t eaten in days after meals. It's like they have this insatiable desire for food. I’ve noticed that they can be very food-driven, often resorting to cute, pleading eyes to get a treat or a bit more kibble. I even have to hide his toys sometimes to keep him from thinking every toy is a food source. It's hilarious and frustrating at the same time! Pugs seem to have a knack for making you feel guilty for not sharing your plate with them. Definitely not alone in this!

The biggest challenge with owning a Pug is their breathing issues. They can have a hard time in hot weather and need extra care to avoid overheating. Their cute flat faces might be charming, but it comes with a lot of potential health challenges, especially when it comes to exercise.
