I usually keep my Miniature Pinscher on a leash. They're super curious and tend to dart off if they catch a scent.

I only let my Miniature Pinscher off leash in secure areas. They have a strong prey drive and can be easily distracted. Just last week, he spotted a squirrel and took off, ignoring my calls completely! It's a balancing act between giving them freedom and ensuring their safety. I recommend training them well before trying off-leash time, or use a long line.

I never let mine off leash. They can be really stubborn and don't always come back when called.
