Salukis can be quite reserved, so they might not rush to greet strangers.

My Saluki is pretty aloof around strangers but warms up after some time. They are naturally graceful and often curious. Once they get comfortable, they enjoy some gentle interactions, but it takes a little patience. I've found that treats help in breaking the ice. Just don't be surprised if they prefer to observe from afar initially.
