My trainer told me not to rush introductions with new people. Did that help your dog?

For my dog, being patient during introductions helped a lot. She initially would shy away from strangers, but after some gradual exposure, she warmed up. Taking it slow let her adjust, and now she’s much more sociable. I’d recommend this approach for anyone with a shy dog.

Taking my time with introductions was a game changer for my Taiwanese Dog. At first, he was quite nervous around new people, but by slowing down the process, he learned to feel comfortable. I would let him observe from a distance and only approach when he seemed relaxed. It took a few weeks, but now he’s much more confident and greets newcomers happily. Building that trust made a huge difference, and he now enjoys meeting friends and family.
