Q&A
answer · Miniature Schnauzer
My Miniature Schnauzer has a full-on routine for neighborhood patrols. He gets up on the back of the couch, scans the street, and lets out a bark if he sees anything suspicious, like squirrels, cats, or even the mailman. What’s funny is how he barks as if he’s announcing a major alert. They’re so intelligent and have such a strong instinct to protect their territory. We’ve even considered agility training for him since he’s so agile and quick on his feet. I’ve heard Schnauzers often do well in this kind of training, so it could be a fun way to channel that energy.

Yep! My Mini Schnauzer barks at anyone who comes near our house. They've got this protective instinct that's hard to shake off.

One of the funniest things my Schnauzer does is when I play hide and seek with her. She gets so into it that she acts all stealthy, tip-toeing around the house before she pounces on me. It’s like her version of being a secret agent!
answer · Miniature Schnauzer
Mine barks at squirrels like they’re plotting against her.
question · Miniature Schnauzer
Would you recommend a Mini Schnauzer?

I take my Miniature Schnauzer in every 6 weeks. Their coat can get quite matted if I wait too long, especially with their beard.
