My Miniature Schnauzer announced that a squirrel entered the neighborhood like it was breaking news 😂 Does anyone else's Schnauzer feel personally responsible for neighborhood security?

Yes, exactly! My Schnauzer is always on high alert for anything moving.

My Miniature Schnauzer has a full-on routine for neighborhood patrols. He gets up on the back of the couch, scans the street, and lets out a bark if he sees anything suspicious, like squirrels, cats, or even the mailman. What’s funny is how he barks as if he’s announcing a major alert. They’re so intelligent and have such a strong instinct to protect their territory. We’ve even considered agility training for him since he’s so agile and quick on his feet. I’ve heard Schnauzers often do well in this kind of training, so it could be a fun way to channel that energy.

Oh, totally! My Miniature Schnauzer acts like a little security guard too. He’ll bark at the slightest movement outside, especially if it's a squirrel. I love how they take their watch duties seriously.

Yes! My Schnauzer alerts us if someone walks by or if a leaf rustles. It’s hilarious but also impressive how aware they are of their surroundings. They really do have a knack for keeping an eye on everything.

Definitely! My Miniature Schnauzer is quite the watchdog as well. Whenever he hears a noise outside, he’ll run to the door and bark like he’s defending the house. It's amusing to see how serious he takes it. I’ve noticed that they can be really protective of their humans, which is a characteristic of the breed. They have such a big personality in those small bodies. Sometimes, I wish he would calm down a bit when friends come over, but it’s just his nature to be the vigilant guardian.
