Q&A
question · Bouvier Des Flandres
Would you recommend a Bouvier des Flandres?
answer · Bouvier Des Flandres
He tends to bark a lot at first, but once he sniffs them out, he calms down and becomes friendly. It's like he's doing his own little security check. Bouvier des Flandres have a natural guarding instinct, so I guess that's part of his charm.
answer · Bouvier Des Flandres
I recommend starting grooming early to get your Bouvier used to it. Regularly brushing them helps prevent matting and keeps their coat looking great. I also use a detangling spray which makes the process smoother. Make it a bonding time, and give lots of treats to keep things positive. They love water, so a bath can be fun, just don’t overdo it. Their natural oils are important for a healthy coat.

What's the funniest thing your Bouvier has ever carried home?
answer · Bouvier Des Flandres
Same. I stopped chasing perfect with my Bouvier des Flandres. I do a quick brush before walks and a longer session once a week.
