One piece of advice I'd give is to be prepared for their stubbornness. Affenpinschers have a mind of their own and can be a bit challenging to train. Regular short sessions help, but don't expect them to just obey commands without a bit of pushback. They are also quite affectionate and can bond closely with their humans. Just be ready for a bit of sass!

Absolutely, I would pick an Affenpinscher again. They are small but full of character. I love how they think they are much bigger than they actually are. Their stubbornness can be a challenge at times, but it’s part of their charm. Plus, they’re great watchdogs because they are always alert. Overall, I can’t imagine my life without my little buddy.

I’d love to see them be a bit less prone to anxiety. Affenpinschers can get pretty anxious in new situations, which can lead to excessive barking. I’ve had to work hard to desensitize my pup to different environments. A little more calmness would definitely help them enjoy outings without stress.

My Affenpinscher, Rocco, loves this frayed rope toy that’s practically falling apart. I try to introduce new toys, but he just walks past them to grab the rope. It's hilarious how attached they can get to something so worn out.

My Affenpinscher is cautious at first with strangers, but after a few minutes, he becomes very friendly. It's like he has to assess the situation before he fully engages. This breed is quirky in that they can be very particular about who they like.
