Mine used to lose it over the vacuum every single day. What helped was leaving it out in the room for a few days so it stopped being "the monster." I still get a bark or two when I turn it on, but nothing like before. We also started vacuuming while Pesto was in another room with a stuffed Kong. That combo cut the drama way down.
