One thing I wish I'd known is how much energy an Affenpinscher can have. They might be small, but they need regular exercise to burn off that spunk. I also didn't expect how much they would bark; it's like having a little watchdog. They can be quite social and love to be around people, so if you travel a lot, it might not be the best fit. Their quirky personalities always keep me laughing, but they definitely require commitment.
