Q&A
answer · Portuguese Sheepdog
I found teaching 'settle' to be incredibly beneficial. My Portuguese Sheepdog used to be hyperactive and would bounce off the walls. Now, when we go to dog-friendly places or when visitors come over, I can ask him to settle down and he knows exactly what to do. It’s a great skill for any energetic breed.
answer · Portuguese Sheepdog
Yes, my Portuguese Sheepdog does the same! They are really good at keeping track of everyone.
answer · Portuguese Sheepdog
My dog loves to sneak food off the table when I'm not looking. It's the funniest thing to see him trying to act innocent afterward.
answer · Portuguese Sheepdog
Absolutely! My Portuguese Sheepdog senses when I’m even thinking about the leash.
question · Portuguese Sheepdog
Would you recommend a Portuguese Sheepdog?
answer · Portuguese Sheepdog
I agree with Olivia. My Portuguese Sheepdog loves to chase birds, and I’ve had a few close calls at the park. I only let him off-leash in fenced spaces because he can be quite independent-minded.
answer · Portuguese Sheepdog
Absolutely! My Portuguese Sheepdog is a constant shadow. If anyone leaves the room, he’s right there, peeking around corners to keep an eye on us. It’s as if he believes it’s his job to ensure everyone is safe and sound. This breed is known for their strong attachment to family, and it really shows with my pup. Sometimes it can get a bit overwhelming if I need space, but I love that loyalty!
