Absolutely! My Drever's nose is always on the ground. I think it's part of their personality as scent hounds. They can get lost in scent trails for a while, which can be entertaining but also a challenge during walks.

Yep, that's just the Drever way. They get so absorbed in sniffing, it can take a while for them to realize you're calling. I've learned to just let them explore a bit before expecting them to come back.
