Q&A
question · Rottweiler
Everyone crosses the street when they see my Rottie... then they meet him and he's just looking for belly rubs 😂 Does this happen to anyone else?
answer · Rottweiler
Yes, I would definitely recommend a Rottweiler! They are incredibly loving and loyal.
answer · Rottweiler
I let a few trusted people pet my Rottweiler, but I’m careful. Rottweilers can be pretty protective of their family, and they may not always feel comfortable with strangers. When I do introduce my dog to new people, I make sure it’s in a calm environment and that he has the choice to approach them. It's really about building that trust and making sure everyone is comfortable!

One thing that really surprised me after getting a Rottweiler was their intelligence. They learn commands quickly, but they also have a stubborn streak. My Rottie has a tendency to think he knows better than me, which can be both frustrating and funny. They are also loyal to a fault, always wanting to be by your side, almost like a shadow!

I wholeheartedly agree with your trainer. Confidence is key for Rottweilers. If they feel secure and trusted, they will follow your lead more effectively than by just enforcing strict obedience.

Yes, mine does too! Rottweilers are such gentle giants and they love to be close to their humans.
