Q&A

My Australian Cattle Dog loves to help with yard work. He’s always right there, 'assisting' me, whether it's digging or chasing after the rake. It’s funny how he thinks he’s helping!

I wish I had prepared for their need for constant social interaction. They thrive when they’re with people and other dogs.

I’d definitely recommend a Catahoula if you can handle a high-energy dog. They are loyal and protective and have this incredible ability to bond with their families. Just keep in mind they can be a bit stubborn, so training is key.

I see the point, but my Australian Cattle Dog loves to run. Both are important, but if I had to choose, I'd start with longer walks.

Short sessions daily work better than one long one. Puzzle toys and scent games drain energy way faster than repeating fetch forever. Keep sessions short and end on a win. Enthusiasm matters more than drilling the same thing for an hour. Still figuring it out like everyone else, Jasmine.

My Blue Lacy is pretty cautious around strangers.

I thought I was the one planning today's hike... my Catahoula clearly had a different idea 😂 What's the funniest outdoor adventure you've had together?
