Q&A
answer · King Charles Spaniel
I love how my English Toy Spaniel follows me around the house. It feels like I have a little shadow.
answer · King Charles Spaniel
I let my King Charles Spaniel sleep under the blankets every night. He enjoys being close to me and often nudges his way under the covers. These dogs are known to be quite social, and they truly appreciate being part of the family. Sometimes, I think he feels safer that way, especially during storms.
answer · King Charles Spaniel
When left alone, my King Charles Spaniel tends to get a little bored. He’s a typical Velcro dog and hates being apart from me. I found that leaving some interactive toys helps keep him occupied, but he still prefers to be with the family. I also started using a pet camera to check in on him, and it gives me peace of mind to see he’s not too distressed.
question · King Charles Spaniel
What's your dog's sweetest habit?
answer · King Charles Spaniel
Oh my gosh, yes! My King Charles Spaniel uses those eyes like a master negotiator. Whenever I’m having dinner, he’ll sit by my side, looking up with the most pleading expression. It’s hard to say no, especially when he tilts his head and lets out a little whine. They just have that adorable charm that gets them what they want.
answer · King Charles Spaniel
Same here! It cracks me up every time.

It's a daily battle! My English Toy Spaniel has this adorable way of making me feel guilty for moving them. They always look up at me with those big eyes, and suddenly the couch feels like their throne.
answer · King Charles Spaniel
Absolutely, they are very loving and gentle dogs. King Charles Spaniels thrive in companion roles and are known for their sweet temperament. They do require regular grooming, but their affectionate nature makes it worth it. They are also pretty adaptable, which is great for seniors.

I hear you, James. My family says I spoil my King Charles Spaniel too, but how can you not? They thrive on affection and are known for their gentle nature. I do try to keep a balance, though. We have set playtimes and treat limits, but I can’t help sneaking in extra cuddles when I see that sweet face!
answer · King Charles Spaniel
I would say go for it! English Toy Spaniels are gentle and great with kids. They have this charming ability to adapt to their owners' mood, which makes them fantastic emotional support pets. Just keep in mind that they can be a bit high-maintenance with grooming. If you’re ready for that, they could be a perfect fit.
