I totally agree that Huskies are not to be trusted off-leash unless they are exceptionally well-trained. They have a strong prey drive and can easily get distracted by anything that moves. My Husky once spotted a squirrel and took off like a rocket. It took me a while to get him back! So, I always keep him leashed on walks unless I'm in a secured area.

I would choose a Husky again without a doubt. They are energetic and have such unique personalities. It's like having a furry best friend that keeps you on your toes. However, you need to be ready for their stubborn streak.

My Husky loves to 'talk' back when I give commands. It’s that funny, stubborn attitude that makes me laugh even when I’m trying to be serious with him.

The funniest thing my Chinook did was sneak up on a snowman and bark at it as if it were a real intruder. His confusion when it didn't move was priceless. He's got this hilarious way of howling when he gets overly excited, which makes everyone laugh. It's like he thinks he's singing a song! Who knew dogs could be so theatrical?

My Chinook's favorite activity has to be swimming. He jumps in any water he sees, no hesitation. It's fun to watch him splash around, and he seems to have endless energy. They are such playful dogs, and swimming is like their happy place.
