Three throws is a warm up. Flirt pole in the yard helps burn the edge off before we come inside. A job helps. Even silly stuff like carrying a bag on walks or learning a new cue mid-hike.

Scent games have been a game changer for us at home. Basset Fauve de Bretagne dogs love to use their noses, and engaging them in scent work keeps them mentally stimulated. We’ve set up little treasure hunts with their favorite treats hidden around the house. It's amazing to see how quickly they pick up the scent trail and sniff out the goodies. This not only tires them out but also reinforces their natural skills. Plus, it helps curb any unwanted behaviors from boredom. Overall, it's a win-win for us and our Basset.
