My Basset Fauve has been amazing with kids. She's very gentle and seems to know when to be playful and when to be calm. We often have our nieces and nephews over, and she loves to join in their games. It's like she has an innate understanding of how to interact with them without being overwhelming.

I have a Basset Fauve and two kids, and the bond they share is wonderful. He plays a bit rough sometimes, but he’s also very protective. I've caught him lying next to them while they nap, keeping a watchful eye. It's true what they say about this breed being good with kids, they really are patient and loving.
