Short sessions daily work better than one long one. I do five minute training reps before work. Saves the evening chaos. If I skip brain games, my dog invents jobs. Usually involving something I wanted left alone. Still figuring it out like everyone else, Chloe. Worth a look: akc.org/expert-advice/training/try-these-brain-games-to-challenge-your-dog

Brain tired beats walk tired. Puzzle toys and scent games drain energy way faster than repeating fetch forever. Trainer said the same thing and I did not believe it until I tried. Mental work actually calms my dog down.
