One thing I wish I had known before getting a Border Collie is how much mental stimulation they need. These dogs are incredibly intelligent and thrive when challenged. I often find myself looking for new games or tricks to teach him. If I don’t engage him mentally, he can get bored and mischievous.

I wish I’d known how much exercise a Border Collie truly requires. They need more than just a walk; they need lots of running and interactive play. I’ve learned that structured activities, like agility training, keep them happy and mentally sharp. It’s a commitment, but the bond we share makes it worthwhile.
