My Kishu watches new people for a long time before deciding whether they're interesting 😂 Is yours like that too?

Yes, my Kishu Ken does the same thing. They really take their time assessing new people, almost like they're evaluating if someone is worthy of their attention. It's funny to watch them staring, tilting their heads, as if they’re deep in thought. Once they decide you’re interesting, they’ll warm up and become quite affectionate. This breed is known for being a bit reserved, but they have a playful side once they feel comfortable. I think it's part of their independent nature.

Definitely! My Kishu Ken is pretty much the same. He’ll sit and observe newcomers for ages, just like a little guardian. But when he decides you're cool, he shifts into playful mode. It’s amusing to see how selective they are, which I guess makes the moments when they finally greet someone even more special. It’s all part of their unique character.
