I’d recommend a Šarplaninac if you have experience with larger breeds. They are loyal and protective, but they can be quite independent. My Šarplaninac, Zora, needs consistent training and socialization to behave well with others. They can be aloof with strangers, but they’re incredibly loving with their families.
