I do let my White Shepherd off-leash sometimes, but it really depends on the environment. They are quite intelligent and can be trained to recall, but they can also get distracted easily. In open spaces, it's great to let them run, as they have a natural inclination to roam. Just be sure the area is safe and secure to avoid any mishaps. Always have treats handy for positive reinforcement.

I prefer to keep my White Shepherd on a leash in busy areas. They can be a bit too curious and adventurous.
